Matt is completing his fourth term as a State Representative in Maine House District 19, and is now running to represent the people of Alfred, Lebanon, Sanford and Waterboro in Maine Senate District 33.

Matt's background

Matt was born and raised here in Maine. He received an Associates’s degree in fire science from Southern Maine Community College and a Bachelors degree in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine. 

Matt spent eight years working in the fire service here in Maine, as a Firefighter and Advanced EMT. Matt has also been a police officer for over fifteen years in southern Maine and continues to do so in a full time capacity.

Matt has been involved in his local community as a member of the Sanford Elks, a Freemason and is a Shriner with Kora Temple. Matt has also volunteered on his church’s board of trustees, rising to the level of vice chairman and later Chairman.
